Boyd graduated from College of Charleston last year. His excellent performance made his team the Bulls beat the Hawks 98 to 82. On top of that he also recorded 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals that evening. He is the 6th best scorer in the league averaging over 22 points and almost 6 rebounds per game. Among many awards Boyd was selected to the All A-Sun Second Team in 2024. He was also selected to the All CAA Third Team in 2025.
